JustCo, the leading co-working company in Asia Pacific has rescheduled its PUBG Mobile Championship to 12 – 13 September 2020, following multiple requests from members and public for more time to form and organise their competing teams. In the spirit of helping the community in this tough period, JustCo has also decided to waive the registration fee, allowing more e-gaming enthusiasts to participate and connect across the region.
Held across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan, there is more than SGD18,000 (approx. THB 400,000) worth of coveted prizes to be won. The JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship will bring together over 120 participating teams to battle at the qualifiers on 12 September, where the top 16 teams will enter the final championship on 13 September. Top 3 winning teams will walk away with attractive prizes including Amazon Gift Cards, Razer Rewards, Alibaba Cloud Credits, JustCo Credits and more.
“By extending the registration period to September and making the tournament free for everyone, we make it more accessible for e-gamers to participate and social interact over a common interest. This is also a good opportunity for companies to sign up their staff for a team bonding activity, bringing about the joys of working and playing together. In this era where physical interactions are highly reduced, JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship will allow the community to stay connected and seek the much needed respite after working from home for a prolonged period,” says Wimolnit Lertpitakkit, General Manager, JustCo Thailand.
The COVID-19 crisis has accelerated existing trends in the e-sports industry as gamers seek engagement and connections via a common interest. Video game developer PUBG Mobile is excited to support JustCo in organising the JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship – sharing the same belief that e-gaming can help to mitigate the negative effects on mental health during this period of isolation. It is especially timely now to bring e-gaming into play to encourage everyone to socialise virtually.
JustCo has seen an encouraging level of interest from both members and public ever since registration for the championship opened. Companies have also signed up for their staff, using this as an opportunity for team bonding to improve staff cohesion and morale. For individuals who are unable to find teams on their own, JustCo will also help in matching them with fellow gamers within the community.
“WorkWell is excited to work with JustCo for our very first PUBG Mobile Championship. JustCo has been our valuable partner thus far, and we have organised many successful lifestyle and wellness events together. We believe such events boost social interaction and foster a healthier work-life balance for all working adults, especially during such challenging times,” said Kimi Oh of WorkWell, a workplace wellness strategies consultant.
Following the success of recent initiatives such as JustCo Campus and JustCo Cares social responsibility campaign, the virtual JustCo PUBG Mobile Championship is organised to further nurture a collaborative culture among members. As a ‘community-first’ co-working company, members can look forward to other upcoming community events, such as an engaging virtual panel discussion – In Conversation with Inspiring Entrepreneurs on 27 August 2020, which will bring together young entrepreneurs within the JustCo community, to share about the challenges faced throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
